I first began pottery in 1967 while a graduate student at theUniversity of Oregon. Unfortunately, I had to put pottery on the shelf while I pursued my teaching career as Professor of English at SacramentoState for many years.
Returning to pottery in 2000 was one of the best and most fulfilling things that I have done. As a "re-entry potter," I have come to love my work with clay, enjoying the discovery of new forms and learning the mysteries of glaze composition.
I am pleased to be among the fine artists who make up the Artists' Collaborative Gallery.
