Fused Glass Artist
Joy has traveled an interesting road to arrive at this juncture. She has been a registered dietician and diabetes educator and then moving on to ceramics and finally to fused glass.
Joy studied under wonderful teachers at San Jose State for ceramics and then went to DeAnza for more study with Linda Mau. She wanted to develop more with the art and expand the elements so she learned fused glass techniques in the year 2000.
She has been developing her style and teaching fused glass first in the San Francisco Bay Area and now in her workshop in the Auburn area.
The artist enjoys designing all forms of jewelry including pins, pendants, earrings, bracelets and hair clips. Joy also makes plates and other usable fused glass pieces. She will custom design any shape or color requested by the customer.
