Oil and Pastel painting
Inspired by my many friends and clients over my thirty year stylist career, I returned to school
around 15 years ago to pursue drafting and fine art. I quickly switched to fine art exclusively.
I was greatly Influenced by my painting instructor and mentor Gary Pruner, and tend to focus mainly on bold pieces with hyper-pigmented impasto and some form of abstraction.
Many of my pieces are layered, etched, scratched, splattered, and scraped, both bold and subtle color applications and washes applied, and vague symbols and figures sketched in, resulting in a depth of textures, while others may be only slightly off from realism. My pieces often contain hidden private jokes, secret messages, or humorous/futuristic cityscapes.
