Dick Stern

“After a career as a Ph.D. physical chemist, I retired 16 years ago to become an artist. I take photographs and convert the best of them to watercolor and acrylic paintings. My formal artistic training has been in the Contra Costa and Sacramento community college systems. I tip my hat to the excellent instruction I received there. A lifetime of art museum going has also helped. I would like to become famous (and collected) without the inconvenience of dying first. As steps on this path, I am a member of a well-respected art critique group in Davis and I have collected a drawer full of ribbons at the Yolo County Fair. Next stop, the Louvre.”
