Fused Glass

JoRene Danel.jpg

JoRené has always been mesmerized by the beautiful prismatic effect of light flowing through glass. While attending her first fused glass class, the varied textures and colors of artistic glass she encountered flooded her with favorite childhood memories of peering through kaleidoscopes.  She knew immediately fused glass was her passion.

JoRené creates fused glass art and enhances metal with glass.  Viewers often find Japanese cherry blossoms in her work.  Having lived in Japan as a child, JoRené developed a lifelong love of the pink blossoms.  She is also inspired by the Bunka and Oshie art her mother created during the family's time there. JoRené finds fulfillment in creating distinctive glass art with stunning colors and endlessly varied designs.  Almost everywhere she looks is another idea for her glass creations.

JoRené and her husband, Kevin Danel, live in Fairfield.  They have two daughters, two granddaughters and a grand-dog.   She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona.
