I started taking a basic painting class at Davis Arts Center after my daughter started kindergarten, which was 15 years ago. learning how to do fine art was something I'd always wanted to do. Ever since I was little, I knew I was an artist. Growing up, I was a ballet dancer expressing myself through movements
with music. Now canvas is my stage. I pick up my brushes and let myself go.
Whatever the subject I'm seeing can be just a reference of what my inner eyes interpret and what comes out of the interpretation is something only I can create. J feel so fortunate to be able to do what I 'love to do. Thanks to my very
supportive husband and daughter, I'm on a journey of self-discovery.
Since my painting endeavor took off, I've taken many painting and drawing classes and workshops from various teachers. Some of them taught me fundamental basic techniques and others taught me how to transfer my love of color and energy into paintings and encouraged me to be out of the comfort
zone. I feel happy and content when making art and I hope that the art I make can give happiness and joy to the viewers as well.
