Photography
Photography for me began on a farm in Michigan where I received a $3.00 box camera for Christmas when I was about ten years old. I can now say I have been a photographer for three quarters of a century and have sold enough in the last quarter century to support my camera in the manner to which it has become accustomed.
Travels in 48 states and 42 countries in the first half of my career as an Agricultural Economist provided great photo possibilities and since we settled in Davis, California in 1977 my camera has traveled with me to all 58 counties while working in the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
Since we discovered The Sea Ranch on the Sonoma coast in 1969 it has provided endless subject matter for photography. I have received several prizes including Best in Show in Art in the Redwoods at the Gualala Arts Center.
